Project: Gamic Learning in East Asian Studies
My project asks what games can tell us about how people learn. I explore how we might integrate mechanisms from video games, tabletop games, and pen-and-paper roleplaying games into our course design and teaching to motivate learners, overcome fears of failing, and cater to the diverse abilities and learning preferences of participants.
