Werkt mee aan
Ze hoopt dat wetenschapscommunicatie de komende jaren een belangrijker onderdeel wordt van de universitaire wereld. ‘Universiteiten rekenen onderzoekers momenteel voornamelijk af op hun onderzoek en in mindere mate op hun onderwijs. Het zou mooi zijn als ook publieksactiviteiten zoals opiniestukken, columns en lezingen gezien worden als werktijd. Al die outreach is immers goed voor de zichtbaarheid van de universiteit als geheel.’
