Lenneke Alink is hoogleraar Forensische Gezinspedagogiek en Wetenschappelijk Directeur van het Instituut Pedagogische Wetenschappen van de Universiteit Leiden. Het onderzoek van Lenneke Alink richt zich op verschillende aspecten van negatieve jeugdervaringen, opvoedingsproblemen en kindermishandeling, zoals risicofactoren, oorzaken, gevolgen, preventie en beslissingen in kinderbeschermingszaken.

Lenneke Alink is hoogleraar Forensische Gezinspedagogiek en Wetenschappelijk Directeur van het Instituut Pedagogische Wetenschappen van de Universiteit Leiden. Ze promoveerde in 2006 aan de Universiteit Leiden en was van 2006-2008 gastonderzoeker bij het Center for Child Development, University of Minnesota, ondersteund door een NWO Rubicon-beurs. Naast haar functie in Leiden bekleedde zij van 2012-2017 de Jan Brouwer leerstoel Voorkomen, gevolgen en aanpak van kindermishandeling aan de VU. Ze is lid geweest van de KNAW Jonge Akademie en heeft diverse beurzen en prijzen ontvangen, zoals een NWO VIDI-beurs en een KNAW Ammodo-prijs.
Onderzoek
Het onderzoek van Lenneke Alink richt zich op verschillende aspecten van negatieve jeugdervaringen, opvoedingsproblemen en kindermishandeling, zoals risicofactoren, oorzaken, gevolgen, preventie en beslissingen in kinderbeschermingszaken. Een van de onderzoekslijnen van haar groep richt zich op de rol van stressregulatie in het ouderschap. Daarnaast staat de intergenerationele overdracht van kindermishandeling centraal.
Om (gevolgen van) kindermishandeling beter te begrijpen, te voorkomen en te behandelen, combineert Lenneke meer fundamenteel onderzoek – dat zich richt op vragen over causaliteit, mechanismen en neurobiologische processen – met onderzoek in de klinische praktijk en in samenwerking met professionals.
