LIAS lecturers provide teaching and thesis supervision in a wide range of study programmes.

These programmes encompass many different teaching formats: from small-group specialised seminars to large, full-cohort lectures; and from language acquisition modules to multidisciplinary courses on theory, issues and methods in Area Studies.

Like our research, our education takes place at the interface between disciplinary or ‌‌thematic approaches and specialised area expertise. We regularly collaborate with colleagues in other Humanities institutes, Leiden Law School and the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences.
