Leiden University’s Centre for Professional Learning is a leading centre of expertise in The Hague, offering academically grounded learning and development programmes for professionals and organisations across the public sector.

Our programmes connect academic knowledge with practical experience, helping to strengthen leadership, career development, and professional impact. We work across various fields, such as politics, governance, security, diversity, and inclusion. Most of our programmes are taught in Dutch and are listed on our Dutch-language website.

News

Politics & Governance Currently offered in Dutch only. We offer courses on public affairs, politics, governance, media and (crisis)communication, and the rule of law.
Security Currently offered in Dutch only. Course topics vary and sometimes overlap, including terrorism, the rule of law, hostile states, cybersecurity, organised crime and its subversive effects, right-wing extremism and gender-based violence.
Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Currently offered in Dutch only. We offer courses on inclusive leadership, depolarisation, neurodiversity, and psychological and social safety in the workplace.
Public Leadership Currently offered in Dutch. We offer courses on public leadership, inclusive leadership, depolarisation, and futures thinking.
