Emile Cammeraat is programmaleider ‘Risico en Regulering’ op het Centraal Planbureau, waar hij leiding geeft aan een team economen die onderzoek doet naar publieke belangen en marktordening op verschillende markten. Daarvoor was hij econoom bij de Science, Technology and Innovation Directie van de OESO, waar hij onderzoek deed naar human capital en organisaties in het tijdperk van kunstmatige intelligentie.
Emile is sinds augustus 2015 verbonden aan de afdeling Economie van de Universiteit Leiden, waar hij gepromoveerd is op de economische effecten van sociale zekerheid, waarna hij gastmedewerker bleef. Tijdens zijn promotieonderzoek heeft Emile onderzoek gedaan bij het IMF, de OESO en het CPB. Voordat Emile aan zijn promotieonderzoek begon heeft hij ‘Rechtsgeleerdheid’ en ‘Economie en Bedrijfseconomie’ gestudeerd aan de Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam. Na deze twee bachelors heeft hij zich gespecialiseerd middels een Master Internationale Economie aan de Erasmus Universiteit en door het volgen van de European Master in Law and Economics (EMLE) op de universiteiten van Bologna, Hamburg en Mumbai.
