As an alumnus of Leiden University, you can continue to use the Leiden University Libraries (UBL) throughout your life.
With a valid library card (the LU-Card) you can continue to use various services and facilities of the Leiden University Libraries (UBL) as an alumnus or after your promotion.
Some time after your graduation, your student account is automatically converted into an alumnus account. If you lost your LU-Card, you can get a replacement card by contacting one of the LU-Card helpdesks (PDF) or the central helpdesk via 071 - 527 2727 or firstname.lastname@example.org (please remember to state your account name if you contact them through email).
Alumni who graduated before September 2006 can obtain a free pass at the library desks on presentation of a identity card and proof of graduation.
Access to databases
Within the university network, your alumnus account gives you access to all databases in the UBL collection, with the exception of the 'Legal Intelligence' database, which is only accessible to staff and students.
