Sinds mei 2011 bekleedt professor Kees Waaldijk de gesponsorde leerstoel Comparative Sexual Orientation Law, die gefinancierd wordt via het Betsy Brouwer Fonds bij het Leids Universiteits Fonds (LUF).

Hij geeft onderwijs in de Advanced LLM European and International Human Rights Law en in de Summer School on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity in International Law.
