Leiden Learning & Innovation Centre
Leiden Education Support Network Conference 2027
Connecting expertise, advancing education.
Join us on the 21st of January for the first annual Leiden Education Support (LES) Network Conference - a university-wide event bringing together teachers and professional support staff to exchange ideas, share experiences, connect with colleagues, and learn more about the activities of the LES Network.
Whether you have an exciting initiative to showcase, are looking for fresh inspiration and connections, or want to spark collaborations around educational innovation and teacher development, this conference, marking the Network's official launch, is for you.
Coordinated by LLInC and supported through the Npuls CTL transition grant, the LES Network has been established to strengthen teacher development, stimulate educational innovation, and connect educators, educational researchers, and professional support staff across Leiden University.
What can you expect?
The morning session will be opened by our Rector Magnificus, Sarah de Rijcke, and will feature a variety of inspiring keynote speakers from across our institution and beyond. In the afternoon, you can take part in a series of interactive workshops followed by a panel discussion and networking borrel.
Although this is a full-day event and we encourage you to attend for the duration, please feel welcome to sign up for only the morning or afternoon if you are unable to join for longer. Further details on the programme will soon be available!
Who should attend and why?
The conference welcomes teachers, educational researchers, professional support staff, policy advisors, and educational directors looking to gain new perspectives, make meaningful connections, and leave with actionable ideas.
You will explore how the LES Network underpins and supports these ambitions here at Leiden University and will continue to do so well into the future.
Call for Workshop Proposals
Do you have an innovative practice, project, challenge, or idea in relation to teaching and learning with the potential to inspire colleagues? Perhaps a topic on which you would like to gather input, exchange experiences, or test ideas with peers?
If so, we encourage you to submit a proposal for a 60-minute interactive workshop to share your expertise and engage participants in discussion or hands-on activities. You can find the workshop submission form here and we look forward to your proposal! The deadline for submissions is the 30th of October.
