The Centre for Professional Learning (CPL) programmes are specifically meant for professionals with an academic background, who aim to deepen their knowledge and skills and broaden their perspective and networks. Based in the centre of The Hague, CPL offers knowlegde and insight on an academic level on the themes that are distinctive for the city and that will be closely linked to your professional practice.
Dual PhD Centre
Combining a job with a PhD? The Dual PhD Centre focuses on external PhD candidates who devote part of their working time to scientific research on a theme from their professional practice. The Centre helps these dual PhD candidates develop a research plan, provides training and ensures that their research fits within a scientific discipline and graduate school, and that it ties in with the research of a potential supervisor.
Cyber Security Academy
Would you like to broaden and deepen your knowledge of cyber security improving your ability to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow? The programmes of the Cyber Security Academy The Hague will teach you to make connections between technical, legal and social scientific aspects of cyber security, so you can come to effective and sustainable solutions for cyber risks and threats. The CSA initiates and stimulates knowledge development and exchange through multidisciplinary educational activities such as a part-time academic executive master's programme, short courses, and tailored tracks.
The master's programme Public Sector Management (MPS) and its specialised tracks Strategy, Consulting and Change Management, and the specialisation Public Affairs, can be attended by people with a day-time job because the classes take place in the late afternoon and evening. It is a one year programme and provides insight into the complex problems public organisations are facing today and ways in which these problems could be tackled.
The two-year programme International Relations and Diplomacy offers you a unique blend of academic education in international relations and political science with practical graduate education and training in international negotiation and diplomacy. The master is a regular full-time programme.
The Cyber Security Academy offers an executive masters programme Cyber Security for professionals with a relevant master’s degree from a university (of applied sciences) and several years of professional experience who wish to broaden or deepen their knowledge of cyber security.
