Course objectives semester 1
In Semester 1 you will gain insight into the complexities of multilevel governance ranging from the local to the global (international and European level):
- Engage between theory and practice during the course Wasted Cities: A Critical Look Into Our Waste and Our Resources, and interdisciplinary and interactive course where you will learn more about waste, value and sustainability through examining discourses, practices, and infrastructures of waste.
- Explore the field of Disaster Studies, where you’ll learn about the role of various disciplines, including political science, anthropology, psychology, and sociology, to understand how societies safeguard themselves against impending hazards.
- In the course on European Union Politics and Policy, you examine how regional powers influence the world and gain insight into the EU’s role in global governance.
- Develop governance expertise with International Administration, understanding the operational complexities of international institutions.
