Angus Mol is universitair docent bij het Leiden University Centre for the Arts in Society. Hij is expert in digitale cultuur en technologie, met een focus op video games. Als enthousiast speler en onderzoeker beschikt hij over brede en diepgaande kennis van gamecultuur en de gamesindustrie. In zijn wetenschappelijke onderzoek naar hoe video games ons het verleden laten ervaren, combineert hij zijn expertise in spelstudies met zijn achtergrond als erfgoedspecialist en doctor in de archeologie. Met één voet in het verleden en een blik op de toekomst biedt hij menselijke en begrijpelijke inzichten in de wortels en ontwikkeling van onze digitale (spel)wereld en technologie.
