The former University Sports Centre had become too small and no longer met modern requirements. Following the opening of the new USC on the opposite side of Einsteinweg, the old building is now ready for demolition. The work is expected to be completed in September 2026. From December, 163 affordable homes for sale will be built on the site of the former sports centre, with space for evening dining or a food court.
