Medievalists are represented at the Faculty of Humanities' Centre for the Arts in Society (LUCAS), the Institute for History, the Institute for Area Studies (LIAS), the Institute for Philosophy, the Centre for Linguistics (LUCL), and the Faculty of Archaeology. To increase the sense of community between Leiden Medievalists at different institutes and faculties, we have been organising semi-regular informal get-togethers, where we can socialise and find out more about the research, teaching, and events that are taking place at the different institutes and faculties.

This Leiden Medievalists Meet-up is co-organised by the Leiden Medievalists Blog and Joanita Vroom and Letty ten Harkel.

On this occasion we would also like to celebrate the publication of the 200th contribution to the Leiden Medievalists Blog (founded in 2017, the blog has hosted contributions by over 80 Leiden medievalists, totalling more than 2.6 million views to date!) with a short presentation on ‘Blogging about the Middle Ages’ by the current editors of the blog; anyone who has ever contributed to the blog (as well as those that haven’t yet!) are warmly invited to attend!

We hope to see you there!
