LUCIS’ research on Islam and society is guided by three overarching themes, which are fundamental to our research programmes.

Unity and Diversity: Negotiating Islam

This theme centres around the question how individuals, groups and societies in different areas and throughout history have decided what it means to be Muslim. Read more.
