Who we are
The LUC Fund aims to support and accommodate innovative education at Leiden University College by providing financial support for an optimal learning environment that prepares the students for tomorrow's challenges.
Leiden University College [LUC] is the international Honours College of Leiden University and offers an innovative Liberal Arts & Sciences programme to highly talented and motivated students from all over the world. Over half of the student population comes from abroad and every year LUC welcomes over fifty different nationalities. LUC teaching is intensive and small-scale, offered in a residential setting that also stimulates students to develop outside the classroom through a range of extra-curricular activities.
LUC Fund is part of the established Leiden University Foundation [LUF].
Leiden University College (LUC) The Hague is an honor's liberal arts and sciences college that builds knowledge for a better world through excellent research-led interdisciplinary teaching on global challenges. LUC, fosters critical, independent, and creative thinking in students, and providing them with the knowledge and skills necessary to become socially responsible and engaged citizens. LUC provides a supportive and inclusive working environment that values and fosters staff initiative and creativity, and invests in staff career development.
Leiden University College The Hague aims to become an internationally competitive center of expertise for excellent and societally engaged research-led interdisciplinary teaching on global challenges. LUC aims to become more accessible to and supportive of talented and curious students from all walks of life, educating a global community of critical thinkers who will use their knowledge and skills to contribute to a better world. Active involvement of staff and students in facilities and support is essential to reach these goals.
LUC Fund Spending Committee
The Spending Committee consist of staff and alumni members of the LUC Community. Together they are responsible for overseeing the allocation of available resources and identifying funding opportunities.
