Edmond H.H.M. Rings is hoogleraar kindergeneeskunde en afdelingshoofd kindergeneeskunde van het Willem-Alexander kinderziekenhuis van het LUMC. Daarnaast is hij hoogleraar kindergeneeskunde en afdelingshoofd kindergeneeskunde van het Sophia kinderziekenhuis van het Erasmus MC in Rotterdam. De 2 afdelingen kindergeneeskunde werken sinds 2014 in een alliantie voor topreferente kindergeneeskundige zorg, opleiding, onderwijs en onderzoek.
