Cosima Nimphy studeerde psychologie aan Universiteit Leiden en haalde daar haar bachelor diploma (cum laude). Daarna voltooide ze haar research master in klinische en gezondheidspsychologie (cum laude). Met een NWO Veni grant van Dr. Evin Aktar, begon ze in september 2019 haar PhD traject “Breaking the transmission of social anxiety from parents to children” samen met Dr. Evin Aktar, en haar co-promotoren Prof. Bernet Elzinga en Prof. Willem van der Does.
