Study spaces

The first place where you can find a study spot is the campus in The Hague. Additionally, the Library the Hague is the meeting spot in the city. Here, you can study for free and gain access to a variety of study materials. You can use the study spots free of charge, and you don't need to be a member to read books or search for information in the library. The Central Library is located on Spui, next to the town hall. Besides the Central Library, you are also welcome to use the reading rooms of the Royal Library. After applying for a free reading room pass, you get access to the study spots.

Sport clubs

Are you a fan of sports or looking for a way to meet new people? Then sports clubs are your answer. Students at Leiden University are welcome at the Sports Center the Buzz in Beehive. This sports center is an expert in eGym. With a sports subscription, you get access to almost all sports. Read more about it on Leiden University’s website. Additionally, there are several student sports associations. There are associations for hockey, lacrosse, rowing, rugby, tennis, ultimate frisbee, soccer, volleyball, sailing, and swimming.

Beaches

The Hague is the only major city by the sea. After studying, you can take the tram and in just fifteen minutes you can unwind and relax while enjoying the view. The beach is 11 kilometers long. The beach in The Hague has plenty to offer: a Ferris wheel, a bowling alley, a lively boulevard, Sealife, Legoland, and of course, the Scheveningen harbor. Besides sunbathing and picnicking, you can also play beach volleyball or go kitesurfing.

Study association

As a master’s student of Population Health Management, you are automatically part of the study association Medical Faculty of Leiden students (M.F.L.S.). The M.F.L.S. takes care of the improvement of education and organises several activities to improve the relationships between students and teachers. One can think of excursions, travel, drinks, movie nights, dressed-balls, lectures, sport activities and parties.
