European and International Human Rights Law (Advanced LL.M.)
Extracurricular
An important component of this master consists of extracurricular activities.
During this programme, you will have the opportunity to participate in a number of extracurricular activities that will enhance your studies, such as:
- Throughout the year, students take part in Weekly Lectures which gives them the opportunity to share and know the work of distinguished scholars and human rights practitioners. Similarly, students receive information on seminars and activities that take place both within and outside the Faculty.
- In the month of October students participate in a study trip that takes them to Strasbourg and Geneva to get to know more closely how human rights works in practice. The event, which is largely financed by the Master’s Programme, includes visits to a number of UN institutions and the Council of Europe, providing a good opportunity for students to know each other better.
- At the same time, a number of excursions takes the students to different Dutch cities to learn about human rights from a different angle, hence broadening and enriching the academic experiencing.
- Finally, a Christmas dinner and a number of informal gatherings, drinks, and brown bags are organized regularly throughout the academic year.
