Career preparation

The programme encourages active engagement with professionals in the realm of European and international human rights by offering many guest lectures and a study trip.

The programme provides you with the academic and practical knowledge and flexibility you need to be able to work in different human tights settings at the national and international level. Professionals working within the field of human rights will participate in the programme. They will be happy to share their experiences in forging your career in this field. The programme also organises excursions to organisations working in the field, including a study trip to Strasbourg and/or Geneva.

After graduation, non-European students have the opportunity to stay for an extra year while looking for job. They can apply for a residence permit the ‘Orientation Year for Graduates Seeking Employment’ scheme.

Career services

One of the biggest assets you will have in your career is your professional network. Through your interactions with professionals in the classroom, as well as during your internship, study trip and site visits, you can begin to build your own international network. These contacts could greatly enhance your career prospects, as they often help with job leads and recommendations.

Every year a special Career Week is organised for all Advanced Master’s students which includes various workshops, presentations and trainings.
