Twee Marie Curie-beurzen voor Leidse theoretisch natuurkundigen
Theoretisch natuurkundigen Kevin Grosvenor en Sam Young hebben Marie Curie-beurzen toegekend gekregen voor onderzoek aan het Instituut Lorentz.
Grosvenor's project heet 'Holography in Motion: combining the AdS/CFT correspondence with advanced numerical techniques to study strongly interacting systems out of equilibrium' en dat van Young 'Musings on primordial black holes: the formation and evolution of primordial black holes and binary primordial systems.'
De Marie Skłodowska-Curie-beurzen van de Europese Commissie zijn goed voor twee jaar postdoc-salaris. De onderhandelingen met de Europese Commissie worden rond mei afgerond. Grosvenor, nu werkzaam aan het Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems in Dresden, en Young (Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics in Garching) beginnen in Leiden in September 2021.
