Two Marie Curie Grants for Leiden theorists
Theoretical physicists Kevin Grosvenor and Sam Young have won Marie Curie grants for research projects at LION/Lorentz Institute.
Grosvenor's project is entitled 'Holography in Motion: combining the AdS/CFT correspondence with advanced numerical techniques to study strongly interacting systems out of equilibrium' while Young's is 'Musings on primordial black holes: the formation and evolution of primordial black holes and binary primordial systems.'
Both Marie Skłodowska-Curie grants will cover a postdoc for two years. Final negotiations with the European Commission are currently ongoing. Grosvenor, currently at the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems in Dresden, and Young (Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics in Garching) will be starting in Leiden in September 2021.
