Marc Koper wint de Carl Wagner Memorial Award 2013
Chemicus prof.dr. Marc Koper heeft de Carl Wagner Memorial Award van de Electrochemical Society gewonnen. Het is de meest prestigueuze mid-career award voor elektrochemici. De prijs, een levenslang lidmaatschap van de Electrochemical Society en een zilveren penning, wordt dit najaar uitgereikt tijdens een bijeenkomst van de Electrochemical Society in San Francisco.
De motivatie van de jury:
‘You are currently Full Professor of Surface Chemistry and Catalysis at Leiden University in the Netherlands. Committee members noted outstanding publication record and his important scientific contributions to the fields of surface electrochemistry, charge transfer electrochemical reactions, and electro catalysis. The five reference letters and the nomination letter on Koper were outstanding. The committee also noted his age, 46, which is consistent with the Wagner Award rules statement that the candidate should be in his/her mid-career.’
