In the burgeoning field of visual culture, my main interest lies in the conjuncture of the medium of photography and the research field of human geography. As such, in my current research I look into the ways in which photography can manifest and challenge the peculiarities of places. To this end, at the moment I am busy with making sense of photography vis-à-vis the nebulous concept of place, through an interdisciplinary approach, aspiring to propose a 'placial' theoretical schema for this medium.
