Egbert Jongen is Professor of Economics and Socio-Economic Policy in the Department of Economics at Leiden University.
Egbert Jongen conducts research and provides education in the fields of inequality, labor economics, and public sector economics. In doing so, he focuses on mapping inequality and its underlying causes on the one hand, and on the effectiveness and fairness of socio-economic policy aimed partly at reducing inequality on the other.
