Cristina Del-Real is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Security and Global Affairs (ISGA) at Leiden University. Cristina Del-Real is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Security and Global Affairs (ISGA) at Leiden University. Her work at ISGA focuses on the development of the theoretical and conceptual framework for the NWO-funded project 'Cyber Security by Integrated Design' (C-SIDe), led by Dr. Els De Busser.

Her previous research explored the intersection between society, technology and security policy, with specific areas of interest in cyber security governance at local, national and international levels. Cristina's other areas of interest include public perception of intelligence agencies and security governance in smart cities.

She has been a visiting researcher at the Center for Urban Informatics and Progress (University of Tennessee, USA) and the Scottish Centre for Crime and Justice Research (University of Glasgow, UK). She is also an active member Board Member of the Spanish Network of Early Career Researchers in Criminology.
