Organisation

The Institute of Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology is one of five research institutes of the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences. The Institute is dedicated to high-quality, interdisciplinary education and research concerning culture and development.

Institute Board

The Institute Board is responsible for all matters concerning the Institute, and comprises the following members:

Support staff

Institute Council

The Institute Council consists of scientists, support staff and PhD-students. They represent the rest of the staff and give the Institute Board solicited and unsolicited advice on all matters related to teaching, research, and Institute organisation. The Institute Council is elected from and by the staff. 

Programme Committee

The Programme Committee consists of lecturers and students. The  Programme Committee advises the Institute Board and the Faculty Board about the educational programmes and facilities.

The Board of Examiners

The Board of Examiners is legally appointed to organise and coordinate examinations. In general, it is composed of all teaching members of the staff in the Institute’s Bachelor’s and Master’s programme. From these members an executive board is selected. is legally appointed to organise and coordinate examinations.
