Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology
The Institute of Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology is one of four research institutes of the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences. The Institute is dedicated to high-quality, interdisciplinary education and research concerning culture and development.
The Institute Board is responsible for all matters concerning the Institute, and comprises the following members:
- Prof. dr. Cristina Grasseni - Scientific director
- Prof. dr. Marianne Maeckelbergh - Director of research
- Dr. Jan Jansen - Director of studies
- Hente de Ruijter - Student member
The Institute Council consists of scientists, support staff and PhD-students. They represent the rest of the staff and give the Institute Board solicited and unsolicited advice on all matters related to teaching, research, and Institute organisation. The Institute Council is elected from and by the staff.
The Educational Board consists of lecturers, students, an ICLON advisor and the Institute’s Education Coordinator. The Educational Board advises the Institute Board and the Faculty Board about the educational programmes and facilities.
The Board of Examiners
The Board of Examiners is legally appointed to organise and coordinate examinations. In general, it is composed of all teaching members of the staff in the Institute’s Bachelor’s and Master’s programme.
