Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology
Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology at Leiden University studies the everyday practices of individuals, groups, and communities worldwide, to situate them within the complex global challenges of diversity, sustainability and digitalisation.
Anthropology specifically studies social relationships across space and time, thus contributing to in-depth understanding of human interaction in its context and to scenarios for tackling the various global challenges. The strength of an anthropological approach consists of the ability to connect global crises with people's everyday strategies of resilience.
