eLaw reflects on a very successful turnout at this year's 17th edition of the annual CPDP Conference in Brussels. This year, the conference was rebranded as CPDP.ai in order to draw attention to AI regulation and governance beyond privacy.

2020
On 24 January 2020, eLaw attended the Annual Conference on Privacy and Data Protection (CPDP) in Brussels, Belgium. The overarching theme of the 13th edition was "Data Protection and Artificial Intelligence," and our colleague Dr. E. Fosch-Villaronga organised a panel on AI, Healthcare, and the Law within the scope of his Marie Sklodowska-Curie grant on Healthcare Robots and AI.

The twelfth annual conference on Computers, Privacy and Data Protection (CPDP2019) took place in Brussels from Jan. 30 until Feb. 1, 2019. Leiden Law School’s Center for Law and Digital Technologies (eLaw) was represented in two different panels at the conference this year.
