Do you want to go for a full academic programme? In that case, the next step after obtaining your bachelor’s is a master’s degree (MSc or MA) at a Dutch or international university. You will find that the Science for Sustainable Societies bachelor’s programme qualifies you for many master’s programmes.

Other master's programmes at Leiden University
Leiden University has around 70 study disciplines which together offer 250 different master's specialisations. You can choose to follow a MA or MSc programme that has a connection with your BSc degree, or alternatively, you can choose to do a research master’s programme. Please note that that for a master’s you will generally have to go through an admission and/or selection procedure.

Master's programmes elsewhere in the Netherlands
You can also continue your studies at another Dutch university. Examples of programmes with a good fit are Sustainable Development (Utrecht University), Environmental Sciences or Urban Environmental Management (Wageningen University & Research), Sustainability, Science, Policy and Society (Maastricht University) and Sustainable Entrepreneurship (University of Groningen). Please note that that for a master’s you will generally have to go through an admission and/or selection procedure.
Master’s programmes abroad
Several universities abroad offer interesting sustainability-related master’s programmes, including Sustainability Management (Toronto, Canada), Biodiversity, Wildlife, and Ecosystem Health (Edinburgh, UK), Urban and Environmental Studies (Tokyo, Japan), Sustainability Science (Tokyo, Japan), Food Science (Auckland, New Zealand), Environmental Science. Please note that you will generally have to go through an admission and/or selection procedure.
