The first part of the thesis focuses on two mechanistically distinct pathways for the activation of sulfonyl azides, which were utilized to synthesize valuable aziridine products from alkenes. The second part presents two strategies for transforming carbon-hydrogen bonds into carbon-nitrogen and carbon-oxygen bonds, respectively.
