Min J Cho’s is universitair docent en doet onderzoek op het gebied van wereldgezondheidszorg en internationale ontwikkeling.
Min J Cho’s is universitair docent en doet onderzoek op het gebied van wereldgezondheidszorg en internationale ontwikkeling. Voor haar vorige onderzoeksprojecten analyseerde zij de gezondheidsrisico’s in verstedelijkende regio’s in Centraal-Azië (Oezbekistan) en onderzocht zij (ook in Centraal-Azië) gezondheidszorgsystemen vanuit een historisch institutionaliserend perspectief. Haar huidige onderzoeksproject maakt deel uit van een kennispartnerschap en wordt ondersteund door een prijs uitgereikt door het Central Innovation District (CID) in de gemeente Den Haag. Hierbij doet zij onderzoek naar voedselverspilling als uiting van identiteit, welvaart en sociale en ecologische rechten en verantwoordelijkheden. De overlap tussen gezondheidszorg, design, duurzaamheid en beleid, maakt volgens Cho dit project zo interessant. Voor dit onderzoek maakt zij gebruik van opkomende technologische mogelijkheden en innovaties in het verzamelen van data (zoals Open Data Kit, Photovoice, Simulation Game en Augmented Reality).
