Het onderzoek van Emily Anne Wolff richt zich op de vergelijkende politieke economie van ongelijkheid. Haar huidige onderzoek bestudeert symbolische en juridische inclusie en uitsluiting van migranten en burgers in het naoorlogse Europa. Dit onderzoek maakt deel uit van het Vidi-project Borders of Equality, wat de verhouding tussen sociaal- en migratiebeleid analyseert.
