Belle Beems is universitair docent Europees recht aan het Europa Instituut van de Universiteit Leiden. Zij is gespecialiseerd in het mededingingsrecht, de Digital Markets Act (DMA) en de Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming (AVG). Haar onderzoek richt zich op de wisselwerking tussen verschillende rechtsgebieden bij de regulering van digitale markten binnen de meerlagige rechtsorde van de EU. Belle is in het bijzonder geïnteresseerd in institutionele vraagstukken en in de samenwerking tussen autoriteiten.
