Alex Reuneker is a lecturer (assistant professor) at the Centre for Linguistics (LUCL)
My research focuses on the pragmatics of conditional constructions ('if-then sentences'), both in Cognitive Linguistics, and Theories of Argumentation. I obtained my PhD in Linguistics in 2022, in which I combined pragmatic-theoretical and corpus-based analyses of conditionals. I am specifically interested in the relation between the grammatical form of conditional constructions and their argumentative use.
I teach various courses in pragmatics, argumentation, corpus linguistics and statistics.
