Schuurmans appointed Chair of Legal Aid Board’s Advisory Council
Ymre Schuurmans, Professor of Constitutional and Administrative Law, has been appointed Chair of the Dutch Legal Aid Board’s Advisory Council following permission from the Dutch Minister for Legal Protection.
The Advisory Council advises on matters relating to the Dutch Legal Aid Board’s social mission, focusing on litigants, the legal aid system and political and administrative developments. Professor Schuurmans conducts research on legal protection and is delighted to be able to contribute to proper, practical access to justice through her new role.
