Registration

You can apply from 1 October 2026 for study year 2027-2028 in Studielink (A and B programme). For the C programme starting in February 2028, you can apply from 1 March 2027. In Studielink:

• Select the bachelor's degree in Psychology
• Startdate: 1 September 2027 (for A and B programme) OR 1 February 2028 (for C programme)
• Under 'Start as' select: 'higher year'

The A and B programmes  always start in September. The C programme always starts in February. You may only submit one registration request for one pre-master's specialisation.

After your application in Studielink you will be sent log-in details for our Online Application Portal (uSis). This can take a couple of days. In uSis you must indicate that you intend to follow the pre-master’s programme. You must also indicate which master’s specialisation you wish to follow once you have completed the pre-master’s programme. You can then upload all the necessary documents such as copies of diplomas and transcripts. If you have not yet completed your study programme, state your expected graduation date and submit copies of all transcripts obtained to date, including an overview of ongoing courses. Follow the instructions carefully. Incomplete applications will not be processed.

Note that the pre-master’s programme does not grant access to the five clinical specialisations of the master Psychology (MSc).

C programme

Do you think you are eligible for the shortened C premaster’s programme? In that case, too, we advise you to follow the regular application deadlines for the pre-master. Only once we have received a complete application via both Studielink and uSis, the Board of Admissions can determine whether you are eligible for admission to an A, B, or C programme. If you are convinced that you are eligible for a C programme, the deadline for a complete application in Studielink and uSis is 15 October 2027. Because it takes a few days to receive your uSis account and uploading the documents takes time, we maintain a deadline of 8 October 2027 for your application in Studielink.

When applying for the C programme, in addition to the 30 ECTS of psychology courses, you must already possess a solid foundation in statistics and methodology. Furthermore, you must demonstrate experience with an empirical research project (thesis) with substantial quantitative data and statistical analyses as part of the bachelor's curriculum. Here, it is important that quantitative data (for example data from standardised questionnaires) is processed using statistical analyses and software. Students that have conducted research based on qualitative data (for example interviews, focus groups) are not eligible for the C programme.

Do you think your previous education and research make you eligible for the C programme? If so, upload this form with your application in uSis under your admission documents. Also upload your thesis/final product of your research project. If you have not yet completed the research project, upload an approved research proposal.

Please note! If you apply for the C programme after 1 April, but the Admissions Committee determines that you are not eligible and must follow an A or B program, you will have to submit a new application for the next academic year.

Processing applications

You can apply from 1 of October 2026 in Studielink for the A and B programme. You can apply for the C programme from 1 March 2027. The Admissions Office will check whether your application is complete and will forward your application to the Board of Admissions of the pre-master’s programme. Please note that the Board of Admissions will start reviewing applications as from January 2027 for the A and B programme. You will then receive a message about your eligibility within 4 to 6 weeks.
