LUMC Campus The Hague

The LUMC Campus The Hague started in 2016 as an academic workplace that promotes health in relation to the social domain in the metropolitan area of the Hague. Through research, training and education in the field of Population Health Management, they establish patient-oriented, affordable and accessible care. The LUMC Campus The Hague is a collaboration between the LUMC, Leiden University, the hospitals in The Hague, the Area Health Authority, and the municipality of The Hague.

Right in the city centre is Wijnhaven, the beating heart of Campus The Hague. Around 3,500 students take classes here and in the other Campus The Hague buildings.

The Hague Living Lab

Together with the partners of the LUMC-Campus The Hague, the Master’s programme works in close collaboration with health care organisations. Through this collaboration, you will find many opportunities to work with real life PHM cases in the city of The Hague. Because the living lab also has a research focus, you will be offered several possibilities to join actual research projects using PHM ingredients.

International environment

Campus The Hague offers a wide range of appealing academic programmes in an international environment. PHM is one of them. Because of its worldwide relevance, the Master PHM is designed as an international programme, based on the global nature of the scientific field of PHM and directed at an international student population. You can broaden your view of the world and quickly develop a large international network, especially during the second year in which you can create your own individualized programme.

Interdisciplinairy staff

One of the main pillars of the programme is interdisciplinarity. True interdisciplinarity is reached by the strong collaboration between the Faculty of Medicine/LUMC on the one hand and the Faculty of Governance and Global Affairs (known for their interdisciplinary approach), The Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences (a leading international centre for research and teaching closely connected with society) and the Faculty of Science (aims to benefit science and to make a contribution to addressing the major societal challenges of the future) on the other hand.
