“I was weighing up several study possibilities, including English Language and Culture. I participated in the University’s Student for a day initiative and I noticed immediately that this English programme suited me best. The atmosphere is good, my fellow students are highly motivated and there are plenty of options.”

“In Leiden University we pay much more attention to Old and Middle English than other universities and that really is one of our unique selling points.”

“English really is a world language; whatever the US President does and everything that happens in the UK is reported in the media here. If you are interested in what people say in English and how the English language works, then this programme is definitely for you.”
