No exchange programmes first and second semester academic year 2020 – 2021
Educational exchange programmes within and outside Europe will not go ahead in the first and second semester. This applies to both incoming and outbound exchange students. The decision does not apply to international students who are commencing or continuing an entire bachelor’s or master’s programme.
Study Abroad students
If there is no exchange agreement between Leiden University and your home university, you can apply as a fee-paying Study Abroad student for one or two semesters instead. Be sure to review the tuition fees for these programmes.
Exchange students come to Leiden University as part of a reciprocal exchange programme with a partner university. Participating students do not pay tuition fees to Leiden University, but remain registered with, and pay tuition to, their home university. Exchange students must be nominated by their home university.
Leiden University participates in the following exchange programmes: Erasmus +, Non-EU exchange, and ISEP.
