Would you like to study abroad at a renowned university in the heart of Europe? Leiden University offers a wide range of English-taught courses for exchange and study abroad students.
Studying at Leiden University possible again from 15 May onwards
From 15 May 2021 onwards, Leiden University can once again welcome international non-degree students under certain conditions. This was decided by the Executive Board on 11 May. We are very pleased that we can again offer this opportunity but realise that the situation remains unsure. We are continuing to carefully monitor travel advice and the developing situation.
- Of course, we expect you to follow the rules and guidelines laid down by the authorities both here in The Netherlands and in your own country.
- You must follow the measures and meet the requirements for entry into The Netherlands (for example quarantine, vaccinations and other requirements). Read this information carefully on the Dutch government’s checklist for travel to The Netherlands.
- Your stay is at your own risk and is your own responsibility, also in financial terms. We expect you to monitor travel advice and take all the necessary precautions (for example insurances, vaccinations, quarantine, financial measures etc.).
- Leiden University will do its utmost to provide face-to-face education. If this should no longer be possible, we will instead provide online education. If you choose to return home to follow online education, Leiden University will not make any special arrangements for you in terms of examinations.
