Would you like to study abroad at a renowned university in the heart of Europe? Leiden University offers a wide range of English-taught courses for exchange and study abroad students.
Students from partner universities
Are you studying at one of Leiden University’s partner universities? If so, you can apply to study abroad with us via a reciprocal agreement. To do so, you must first be nominated by your home university. There are two basic types of reciprocal agreement. Your home university can tell you which one applies to you.
- Exchange agreement
No additional tuition fees apply. You will continue paying tuition fees to you home university. - Study abroad agreement
Additional tuition fees apply. Your home university coordinator can provide full details.
Independent students
If your home university is not one of Leiden University’s partner institutions, you can instead join us as an independent fee-paying study abroad student. Read more about tuition fee for independent study abroad students.
