Lead and influence

Join international boards and local taskforces, and share your ideas at major events. If you’re passionate about shaping the future of universities, there’s a place for you to get involved and make an impact.

Student Board

The Student Board represents and speaks up for students across the Una Europa alliance. The two board representatives for Leiden University speak up for students during meetings with key stakeholders. They also help promote Una Europa initiatives and opportunities to the student community in Leiden.

Student Board terms last two years. Calls for new representatives are always shared in the newsletter.

'Una Europa is a platform where students can take initiative, share ideas, and collaborate on cross-border themes like sustainability, cultural diversity, and digital innovation. There are so many opportunities, from joint courses to international projects, that broaden your perspective and really make you feel part of something bigger.'

Local Student Taskforce

Make an impact on campus by joining the local taskforce. This team of engaged students helps bring Una Europa to life locally. You’ll gain experience in event planning, communications, and collaboration across the alliance.

Student Award

This annual award celebrates student creativity, bold thinking, and fresh perspectives. Each year, it invites you to explore big questions about the future of universities, and to share your vision with peers and colleagues across our Una Europa community.

The format is flexible to encourage creativity, from videos and collages to poems and art. Winners get the chance to present their ideas on a bigger stage, such as at the Student Congress. It’s a unique opportunity to make your voice heard and help shape the future of higher education.
