Attending the Student Congress was an inspiring experience, filled with new perspectives and hands-on learning.

'The theme, 'Dis-/Assemble: Reinventing the University,' was embodied in workshops, like building a tent from scratch using primordial tools. This activity encouraged creativity, collaboration, and a sense of community. Exploring Berlin and Freie Universität added to the experience, as did connecting with diverse participants. I left with new insights, appreciation for Leiden, and deep respect for Una Europa's impact.'

I had the honor of representing Leiden University at the Una Europa Congress in Berlin.

'It was my first congress experience, and I genuinely enjoyed connecting with students from diverse disciplines across Europe. The theme, ‘The University of the Future,’ led to thought-provoking discussions on universities’ evolving role in society. Engaging in workshops and micro-challenges, we felt empowered as students to influence positive change. I wholeheartedly recommend the Una Europa experience!'

Connecting with students from across Europe on the theme of a 'university of the future' was an incredibly enriching experience.

'The 'Future Unilab' workshop offered insightful discussions on balancing public accountability and research autonomy to support both societal relevance and the pursuit of knowledge. The informal exchanges with peers in similar fields gave me valuable insights into how universities approach education and tackle shared challenges differently.'
