Yung Lin behaalde in december 2025 haar doctoraat in Security and Global Affairs aan de Universiteit Leiden. Haar onderzoek richt zich op identiteitsgerelateerde conflicten, publieke diplomatie en niet-traditionele veiligheid in de Indo-Pacifische regio.
