Terry Au-Yeung is een interdisciplinair onderzoeker en postdoctoraal onderzoeker binnen het door de ERC gefinancierde team ‘Turning Violence’. Zijn werk richt zich op het vernieuwen van sociaalwetenschappelijke methodologie, met name op het analyseren van sociaal leven in context met behulp van nieuwe vormen van data, zoals audiovisueel materiaal, en de bijbehorende morele praktijken. Binnen het huidige project onderzoekt hij de reflexieve vragen rondom hoe geweld zichtbaar wordt gemaakt, hoe het beter begrepen kan worden en hoe het mogelijk via video kan worden gesanctioneerd.
