Onderzoek

Julia Henrich is postdoctoraal onderzoeker bij de sectie Gezondheids-, Medische en Neuropsychologie van de Universiteit Leiden. Haar achtergrond is Gezondheidspsychologie, met een bijzondere interesse voor psychologische therapieën, biopsychologische therapeutische mechanismen voor patiënten met een chronische ziekte en digital health. Julia behaalde haar PhD (DPhil) in 2018 aan de University of Oxford (Departement of Experimentele Psychologie), met een proefschrift over " Addressing cognitive biases in the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome with mindfulness based therapy". Dit doctoraatsproject werd gefinancierd door een beurs van de Stichting Oskar-Helene-Heim. Ze voltooide een Master of Health and Clinical Psychology aan de Universiteit Leiden. Daarnaast heeft Julia gewerkt aan duurzaamheidsvraagstukken in zowel het bedrijfsleven als de NGO-sector.

Momenteel is Julia coördinator voor de NWA-route NeurolabNL en postdoctoraal onderzoeker voor het Digital Society Health & Well-being team, dat de duurzame ontwikkeling en implementatie van digitale gezondheidsinterventies promoot. Daarnaast verzorgd Julia onderwijs op het gebied van gezondheidsbevordering. Samen met een groep jonge onderzoekers heeft ze in 2020 Young NeurolabNL opgericht. Young NeurolabNL bevordert interdisciplinair onderzoek, zichtbaarheid en carrièreperspectieven van jonge onderzoekers op het gebied van Brain, Cognition and Behaviour.
