Federico De Musso is an assistant professor at the Institute of Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology of Leiden University. His research and teaching interests include multimodal anthropology, political ecology, and the anthropology of food.

At Leiden University, he also held a Postdoctoral Fellowship in the ERC Food Citizens? Collective food procurement in European cities: solidarity and diversity, skills and scale", where he specialised in interactive media. He received his PhD in Anthropology in 2021 at McGill University. He has also studied Cultural Anthropology at the University of Bologna (BA, MA) and the Anthropology of Food at SOAS, University of London (MA). His current research project focuses on ecological and economic strategies among different farming sectors in the Catalan Pyrenees in Spain.
