Emile Cammeraat is program manager of the research program ‘Risk and Regulation’ at the CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis, where he leads a team of economists who research public interests and regulation in various markets.

Emile Cammeraat is program manager of the research program ‘Risk and Regulation’ at the CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis, where he leads a team of economists who research public interests and regulation in various markets. Before that, he was an economist at the OECD directorate for Science, Technology and Innovation, where he contributed to both measurement and analytical work towards shedding light on human capital and organizations in the era of Artificial Intelligence.
Emile has been affiliated with the Economics department at Leiden University, where he obtained his PhD on the economic effects of social protection, after which he became a guest staff member. During his PhD research, Emile conducted research at the IMF, the OECD and the CPB. Before starting his PhD research, Emile studied ‘law’ and ‘Economics and Business Economics’ at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. He specialized by doing the master International Economics at the Erasmus University Rotterdam and the European Master in Law and Economics (cum laude) at the universities of Bologna, Hamburg and Mumbai.
