I am a political theorist particularly interested in the topics of global justice, political authority, disobedience, and migration. Before reaching Leiden I was a Fellow/Visiting Professor at Al-Quds Bard College, East Jerusalem in the Palestinian Territories, where I taught philosophy and human rights. I earned my Ph.D. in Political Theory and Human Rights in 2022 at Central European University, Budapest and Wien with a thesis titled "Transnational Civil Disobedience: Understanding illegal political dissent beyond borders". During the writing of my thesis, I was awarded a fellowship to visit the University of Cornell as an independent researcher, working with Alexander Livingston. Beyond academia, I collaborate with various human rights-focused online publications and I am a member of Eurodoc, the European Doctoral Council for Early Career Researchers where, among other things, I worked on gender-based discrimination in academia. I am also a Member of the Greenpeace Italy National Assembly. Currently, I am a visiting lecturer at the Department of Philosophy in Leiden where I teach several BA and MA courses mostly in political philosophy.
